Vernacular Buildings

We were very fortunate to have Ross Cook to lead us for our field day, where we visited two contrasting 16th Century building survivals in Radnorshire.

We visited Llandewi Hall, which is a prestigious Elizabethan Manor House that retains many original internal features. Thank you to Catherine and Alan Pugh for hosting our visit.

A video of our tour of the house is available here.

In the afternoon we visited a 16th Century farmstead that shows a series of changes and developments that are typical of houses in rural Radnorshire. Thank you to Sarah Lloyd and Lis Burch for allowing us to visit this property.
